Events & Schedule
-
Aberdeen is one of the regular stops on the PDC Premier League Darts tour. In particular:
• For 2025, the Aberdeen night is scheduled for 15 May 2025.
• For 2026, P&J Live is confirmed to host Night 13 on Thursday 30 April 2026.
• The Premier League venue deal including P&J Live has been extended until at least 2027.
Format & What Happens on a Night
-
Format is standard Premier League night: 8 top players compete in a knockout bracket (quarter-finals → semi-finals → final) all played in matches that are best of 11 legs.
-
Points are awarded nightly (winner, runner-up, semi-finalists) as they accumulate over the season toward the Play-Offs in London.
-
TV coverage: in the UK, televised on Sky Sports, with live coverage starting around 7 pm local time for Aberdeen nights.
Prize Money & Stakes
-
Prize money is significant. While I didn’t find Aberdeen-specific breakdowns beyond the usual Premier League totals, for the 2025 season, the overall prize fund is about £1,000,000, with nightly winners getting bonuses.
-
Aberdeen’s night tends to be important in the league because it’s near the end of the league phase — standings and final playoff spots are often being decided.
